PSA: If you're Xbox controller'due south bumper simply works when you press it fashion too hard, you can fix it past belongings downwardly the trigger push and blowing into the gap created under the bumper.

Apparently, a build up of dust and crap is what causes it. I wouldn't have believed this either simply I tried information technology and it saved me l dollars. Would recommend.

Edit: Compressed Air appears to work even improve than blowing in information technology and so try using that before giving upward! I would too advise removing the plates underneath themselves in order to become all the way in at that place.

I just threw mine away a couple days ago later disassembling and however not being able to figure it out. Feels bad man.

I opened upwards my Elite controller last week considering the left bumper wasn't working at all. I was able to locate the actual button inside the controller (it'southward actually small-scale) and the trouble wasn't that the bumper was't making contact. I was able to click the button easily with a butter pocketknife; nada happened.

I didn't know what else to try so I was going to give up and just put the controller back together. But before I did, I sprayed compressed air on the bumper button, and that fixed information technology immediately.

These bumpers also scissure. And without the forcefulness of the plastic, it makes the pressing more difficult.

Some people report bumpers completely breaking, simply mine was more than of a hairline fracture.

If then clay isn't the result, search amazon for a bumper repair kit. Wait on YouTube. And spend xxx minutes fixing the bumper. I did it. Works similar a champ now.

Information technology withal worked fine merely i noticed i mean solar day that if i pushed on the very edge of information technology it didn't piece of work, and that information technology didn't feel clicky like the left bumper did. did a quick google and figured this out. Cracks can class in the plastic as well, happened twice on my elite. If that's your problem, there are kits you can get for ~$x and Youtube has lots of videos on how to swap the pieces out.

Ive had a remote with a bumper like this for the by 5 months and I but blew into information technology thinking it was merely a broken bumper, Tried information technology and now its like its brand new!
